Because lately, I’ve been thinking a lot about what it means to show up real online.
Not the perfectly curated, everything-is-clean, makeup-done version…
But the version of me that’s tired, messy, figuring it out, and still showing up anyway.
🥣 A Cereal-in-Bed Kind of Night
The other night was one of those nights.
It had been a long day. Maddie was finally asleep, and I realized I had barely eaten all day. You know those moments where you’re like… how did I even forget to eat? Yeah, that.
So cereal in bed it was.
I sleep by the wall, and Maddie had been having a rough night, so there was NO way I was risking getting up and waking her 😂
So there I was—sitting in bed, eating cereal, completely exhausted…
While Timothy brought it to me (which honestly felt like a luxury in that moment), and a cat sat there judging me the entire time.
Real life. No filters. No aesthetic setup.
Just… life.
🌿 Why I’m Choosing Real Over Perfect
I almost didn’t share it.
Because let’s be honest—social media can make you feel like everything has to look a certain way:
Clean house
Perfect lighting
Put-together version of you
But that’s not real life.
Real life looks like:
Eating cereal in bed because you’re too tired to function
Prioritizing a sleeping baby over literally everything else
Being taken care of by your husband in the smallest, sweetest ways
Having a cat judge your entire existence 😂
And I realized… this is what I want to share.
Not just the pretty moments—but the real ones too.
